What Is Continuing Education?

CE hours (Continuing Education hours) are normally sought after by those who have already acquired a college education but want to continue learning about subjects in their desired field or obtain more information on subjects outside their developed knowledge base.

Continuing education is offered as non-credit programs, but continuing education hours acquired through continuing education workshops, seminars, self-study courses, or tutorials provide proof of completed evaluations, assessments and exercises.

CE hours For Counselors & Social Workers

Alabama Association for Play Therapy is a non-profit organization that offers continuing education hours for counselors and social workers through its workshops and conferences that provide training on a broad spectrum of mental health issues.

Data is constantly being updated in the mental health industry and AAPT, as a continuing education provider, ensures that continuing education hours for social workers and counseling therapists are available. As conferences and workshops are completed, attendees accrue advancements in knowledge necessary to meet mental health and psychosocial developmental needs.

Mental health CE seminars and workshops sponsored by Alabama Association for Play Therapy are held on a regular basis.

Registration can be conducted on the AAPT website, with a minimum of 20 registrants required to conduct continuing education workshops.

Alabama Association for Play Therapy (AAPT) has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 6211.

Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Alabama Association for Play Therapy is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.
