About The Workshop
Being familiar with, and consistently upholding, ethical standards are key components to providing quality mental health care.
This workshop will look at ethical issues that counselors encounter when working with stepfamilies and provide information on current technology issues that often emerge when counseling teens.
With the rapid change in technology (Facebook, texting and Twitter), counselors need to be aware of cyber language and abbreviations, possible legal ramifications, and when to intervene.
Parents often ask counselors, “Where do we go from here?”
This workshop will provide an opportunity to address this question within the profession and provide resources to help with those tough decisions.
