Read all about it!
The Alabama Association for Play Therapy (AAPT) has launched not only a new web site, but a new “Web Presence.” We are making use of many of the latest, cutting edge technologies in order to better serve the play therapy community in Alabama.
You are currently reading a “blog entry” in our new Web Log, better known as a “Blog.” We have named our blog “News from the Playground!”
By subscribing to our automatic email updates, you will receive an email linking you to the latest blog entry — containing all of the latest and greatest news from AAPT!
Whether we announce training opportunities, write book reviews, link you to relevant news in the media, or just share something humorous — this is the place to find it. We will always have a link on our web site to send you here, and we will have links here to send you to our web site.
Sound confusing? Don’t worry — we will be here to help you every step of the way — but we doubt you will need it. Just remember, to get started on the right foot you need to subscribe to our automatic email updates. Did we say that already? It only requires a valid email address and takes no more than 30 seconds.
Now let’s talk about what’s new on the playground!
Currently you will find the following features on our web site / web presence:
- A message from our president
- List of Board members and their bios
- A detailed history of our association
- How to join AAPT
- A members directory
- Quarterly newsletters
- Polls and surveys
- Detailed info about upcoming training
- On-line registration
- Grant information
- Parents/Caregivers section
- This web log you are reading right now
- and much more …
And we are just getting started. Future updates will include:
- A discussion board
- A calendar of events
- Links to related web sites
- Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
- Find a Play Therapist in your area
- Photo galleries

- and much, much more …
So take a look around at all of our new “toys” — and feel free to leave a comment.
Have fun and thanks for visiting!
